A Glimmer of Hope

I've quit sugar for 19 weeks now and I'm hoping that I can finally say there is a glimmer of hope.  The past two weeks have been different from the 17 previous in that I haven't felt super awful every day and I've had less stomach pains, too.  I say this with some trepidation because I do not want people to read this and think that this means I'm better - because I'm nowhere close to that.  I'm just not doing as awful as I was before (at least for now) and for that I'm grateful.  My prayer is that this time of slight improvement could be here to STAY and that it would be a building block towards actually getting better but only time will tell for sure.

This past weekend was different because both on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, I was able to actually get out of the house for a bit and not feel like total crap the entire time!  Granted both days it was for less than an hour but still, just to get out and run an errand or two felt like freedom after these past few months!!

I could go on and on about how much it meant to me to be able to go shopping here in town but in an effort to be brief, I won't.  Just know that getting out two days in a row is almost like a miracle compared to how things have been and I am mostly asking for your continued prayers and that this truly will be permanent progress!

Thanks for all your love, support, prayers, and encouragement!!  Have a great rest of your Monday!

Love, Jen

(On Sunday, we went out back and used the tripod to try to get some pictures for possible Christmas cards, etc and here's a fun one of us trying to rope Penny back in before the snap!!)

    1. Thanks, Nedra! I actually did get out on Monday, too, (for like 30 min) so it was 3 in a row. I spent today giving my dogs a MUCH overdue haircut which always WIPES me out but it's over now for another 2 months or so. Time for me to hit the hay but glad you liked the photo! :) Love & hugs right back!!!!!! :)
