Small Victory!

One of the things I haven't been able to do for a long time is have the energy to go get the weekly grocery shopping done.  It's something I was just starting to do before coming down with shingles in late October.  After getting shingles, which was a major set-back, I wasn't able to do that and Andy was having to do it again.

With spring work season coming on the farm for Andy, I was praying that I would make enough progress to at least be able to do the grocery shopping again since Andy will be so busy.  As his wife, with so much of the duties being on him right now, if there's anything I can start to do again, I always try because I want to help as much as I am able, even if it's not as much as I'd like.

Anyway, today I gave it a try and Praise the Lord, it went well!  :)  I am tired and in quite a bit of pain today but I wanted to try and if it wasn't going well, I could at least just grab what I needed for tonight's dinner and then leave.  So, I went.  On the way there, God brought to my mind one of my memory verses from Ps 145:18-19 - The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.  He fulfills the desire of those who hear Him, He also hears their cry and saves them.   This verse was exactly what I needed to remember as it gave me courage to know that God will help me through this.  There were a few times I had to stop and ask God to give me strength to finish but He answered and now I'm home and resting.  Does this mean I'll be able to do it every week?  I'd like to think so but I've learned to take things a day at a time because I never know what tomorrow will hold.  For now, I just want to thank God for getting me to a place where at least this week, it was possible to accomplish.  If you would, please join me in praying that this is a sign of things to come!

Thanks for all your love and support!
